About · pre-launch

Voice AI that calls like family.

akhi.ai is voice AI for the Muslim Ummah. Voice agents that pick up the masjid line at 3am, call your donors during Ramadan, and confirm orders at the iftar rush. Adab built in. Halal-only platform refusal.

Why we built akhi.ai

There are 2 billion Muslims. No voice AI vendor builds for Muslim institutions outside Saudi Arabia.

We're not first to run this playbook. Bolna built “Voice AI for India” and earned $6.3M from General Catalyst, and is now a named OpenAI Realtime launch partner. Intron Health shipped Sahara v2 for African languages in March 2026, including the world's first bilingual Swahili-English code-switching ASR. We're applying the same wedge (geographic and cultural specificity) to the Muslim Ummah: a 2-billion-person, 57-country, 20+ vernacular-language segment that no incumbent targets specifically. The closest adjacent player is Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN ONE, which serves KSA enterprise and government, not diaspora masjids and charities.

Every day, masjids miss calls about Jummah times. Muslim charities run out of volunteers before they finish dialing donors during Ramadan. Halal restaurants drop iftar-rush reservations. And every voice AI on the market thinks Eid is a stock holiday.

Generic voice agents don't know to greet a caller with “Assalamu alaykum” instead of “Hi there.” They confidently invent fiqh on the phone. They say “as a large language model” mid-call. They treat the Ummah like any other market segment.

We're building akhi.ai because the Ummah shouldn't have to translate itself for an American chatbot. Voice agents trained on Islamic etiquette, halal-only by platform refusal, and built specifically for the verticals every Muslim founder already serves: masjids, Muslim charities, halal businesses, and Muslim-owned recruiters.

Brand pillars

Three pillars. No leaks.

Every section, every page, every call ladders to one of these three. We don't deviate.

Adab-first

Islamic etiquette in every interaction. Greets in Arabic. Defers on fiqh. Knows Eid from Christmas. Says insha'Allah, not "I'll try my best." Restraint in the middle, du'a at the close.

Halal-only

Platform-level refusal of haram verticals. We turn down riba banking, alcohol, gambling, conventional insurance, adult content, and pork producers. Permanently. The list is published. Trust compounds.

Voice for the Ummah

12+ Muslim-vernacular languages on the public roadmap. Code-switching across Arabic ↔ English and Urdu ↔ English. Vertical-specific agent templates. Human review on sensitive topics. T&C-gated outbound by default.

“The best among you are those who have the best character and manners.”

· Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The bar for adab on every call.

Who we serve

The verticals every Muslim founder already knows.

We don't hide behind “the Muslim community.” We name the verticals, and the work each one needs done on the phone.

Masjids

Front-desk volunteers, board members, imams

The 3am Fajr-time call. The Friday parking question asked 200 times. The iqamah change announcement that needs to reach 800 musallis before Maghrib. One sister Asma covering all of it, until she travels for Umrah.

Muslim charities

Development directors, donor-engagement managers

60% of the year's donations land in the last 10 nights of Ramadan. The team is fasting, exhausted, and writing personalized JazakAllah-khair messages at 11pm. Lapsed donors stay lapsed because no one has time to call.

Halal businesses

Halal restaurants, halal-certified retailers, halal e-commerce

The phone melts the last 90 minutes before iftar. Catering orders are the real revenue, but they require pre-iftar coordination the kitchen can't do. After 4pm, every walk-in caller hears voicemail.

Muslim-owned recruiters

Hijab-friendly job platforms, Muslim talent agencies

Candidate screening that respects salah times. Interview scheduling that doesn't book Friday at 1pm. The work that English-only ATS systems quietly fail at, every single time.

Why “Akhi”

أَخِي · my brother.

“Akhi” means “my brother” in Arabic. It's what Muslims call each other. A simple word that carries centuries of meaning.

When you call someone akhi, you're not just being polite. You're acknowledging a bond deeper than business, stronger than transactions. You're saying: we're family.

That's the energy we're building into every call. Not a robotic phone bot. Warm, brotherly care. Voice agents that treat your callers, your donors, and your community the way you would: like family.

Built by Muslims

Built by Muslims, for the Ummah.

The system prompts. The refusal policies. The language coverage. The Eid-vs-Christmas table. All of it is downstream of having a Muslim team in the room.

We're a small team. Muslim founders, Muslim engineers, Muslim advisors who run masjids, charities, and halal businesses themselves. We know the 3am Fajr call because we've missed it. We know the Ramadan donor crunch because we've worked it. We know what adab on the phone sounds like because it's how our parents answered theirs.

Every campaign goes out T&C-gated. Uploaded phone lists require consent confirmation, every outbound run logs callability provenance. Legal blast radius is zero by design. Not a feature we charge extra for. The default.

We're pre-launch. Calling our first 30 customers personally. No fake stats. No fake testimonials. No “trusted by 500+ masjids.” Just the work and the people doing it.
